Today at the Shebag warehouse, a newly produced batch of Louis Vuitton Carryall Dark bags is about to be sealed. Since lambskin is extremely prone to moisture damage, rigorous moisture-proof treatment is mandatory. We also keep production volumes limited for each batch.

The premium lambskin used for the LV Carryall Dark features the hallmarks of top-tier luxury leather: exclusive European sourcing, a highly monopolized supply chain, full-process strict quality control, sustainability certifications, and extreme scarcity.

The raw hides primarily come from designated farms in Tuscany (Italy), central France, and northern Spain. Only hides from 6–8 month-old young lambs are selected—not regular adult sheepskin.

The flocks are mainly fine-wool breeds such as Merino sheep, yielding thin hides with dense fiber structure and high natural oil content.

Shebag cannot exercise control over upstream ranch sourcing at this stage, due to our relatively small procurement volume.

We source leather from century-old tanneries in Italy’s Tuscany region—long-term core suppliers for LV, including Conceria Il Ponte and Bonaudo.

Shebag procures leather directly from European tanneries with strict quality standards: every hide is free of scratches, insect bites, loose grain, and neck blemishes.

Conceria Il Ponte (San Croce, Tuscany), Conceria Bonaudo (Pisa, Tuscany), and Riba Group (Florence, Tuscany) are LV’s primary lambskin suppliers; bulk orders from these three are hard for Shebag to secure. However, we can obtain large quantities from LV’s French lambskin suppliers.

Bodin Joyeux (Bourges, central France), a French tannery, regularly accepts external leather shipments.
